Events: Candlelight Vigil in Male’

December 3, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

Blue Peace Maldives, a local NGO, is organising a candlelight vigil to send a clear message to the world leaders that the fate of planet Earth’s future is in their hands as they negotiate at COP15 this month. The vigil is part of 350.org’s Vigil for Survival events being held on 11-12 December to show solidarity with citizens of the world, whose survival is threatened by the climate crisis.

The vigil will be held at the small sandy square in front of the Adu Park, at Raalhugandu, Lonuziyaaraiykolhu, Male’, Maldives.

The future of the planet is at stake. The humanity will face rising seas, temperatures too warm for growing food, drought and desertification. Make your voice heard. It is a vigil for survival. The survival of humanity and the earth.
