Apple leaves Climate Change denying Chamber of Commerce

Apple, long in the cultural vanguard, have announced that they are leaving the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the business interest group, over the Chamber’s position on climate change. Apple joins PG&E, Exelon, and PNM Resources as groups that have left the Chamber in recent weeks.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is asking the EPA to hold public hearings on the science of climate change. The Chamber filed a 21-page petition with EPA, asking it to approve hearings so the nation can have a “credible weighing” of the scientific documentation that global warming endangers human health.
